Our Mission
Zun Zun Press creates meaningful children’s books and learning experiences that help children discover who they are, recognize the gifts within themselves, and feel connected to the stories, cultures, families, and natural world around them.
Rooted in intergenerational storytelling, cultural heritage, curiosity, and the belief that every child has something uniquely valuable to contribute, our stories extend beyond the page through literacy, STEM, nature-based learning, and opportunities for reflection and discovery.
We publish stories designed not only to be read, but to be experienced, shared, remembered, and grown.

Our vision is to build a multicultural children’s publishing and learning brand where stories become bridges between generations, cultures, classrooms, families, and the natural world.
Zun Zun Press seeks to inspire a generation of children who understand that their differences can become their greatest gifts, who remain curious about the world around them, and who grow with a strong sense of identity, belonging, purpose, and possibility.
Through books, multilingual storytelling, educational experiences, and community partnerships, we envision Zun Zun Press becoming a trusted home for stories that children carry with them long after the final page.
Why Zun Zun?
Zun Zun Press takes its name from the zunzuncito, Cuba’s tiny bee hummingbird.
Small, vibrant, resilient, and found nowhere else in the world, the zunzuncito represents the idea at the heart of our work: something does not have to be large to be extraordinary.
Like in our stories, each of us carries qualities, histories, gifts, and possibilities that may not be immediately visible.
Sometimes we simply need the right story—and someone who believes in us—to help us discover them.
